Bomb Threat to Mumbai’s Taj Mahal Palace Hotel Triggers Security Check; Police Launch Investigation

A bomb threat targeting Mumbai’s iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel prompted a major security response after Navi Mumbai Police received a threatening phone call around midnight on Saturday.

According to police, the caller claimed that the historic hotel would be blown up. Following the alert, Navi Mumbai Police immediately informed Mumbai Police, which launched a comprehensive security check at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel.

Officials thoroughly searched the hotel premises, but no suspicious object or explosive material has been reported so far. Authorities have not confirmed any security breach.

Police have launched an investigation to identify the caller and trace the origin of the threat. Further details are awaited as the probe continues.

The latest threat comes shortly after another bomb scare involving Delhi’s Red Fort. According to sources, Mumbai Police had received a separate call claiming that the historic monument in Delhi would be targeted.

The information was immediately shared with Delhi Police, which strengthened security around the Red Fort and carried out an extensive search operation.

After a detailed inspection, security personnel found no suspicious object, and the bomb threat was declared a hoax. Police are now working to identify the caller and determine the motive behind issuing the fake threats.
