AAP’s trade wing protests against gas cylinder price hike at Clock tower

– Attacking the Modi government at the center, sharp targets were targeted

The Aam Aadmi Party’s trade wing today protested against the Modi government’s unaccountable hike in gas cylinder prices at clock tower in Ludhiana and targeted the BJP.

On this occasion, MLA Ashok Parashar Pappi, MLA Daljit Singh Bhola Grewal, Chairman Anil Thakur, Sahil Agarwal, District Incharge Jatinder Khangura, Medium Senior Vice Industry Chairman Sharanpal Singh Makkar, Member Women’s Commission Ajinderpal Kaur, besides hundreds of AAP volunteers participated.

They said in one voice that the BJP-led central government has proven to be helpless for the common man and guilty for the kitchen.

It is worth noting that commercial LPG cylinder has now become expensive by Rs. 993. This is the biggest and third consecutive monthly increase so far due to the surge in energy prices globally due to the West Asia crisis. The 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder is generally used in hotels and restaurants.

Earlier, the prices were increased by Rs 195.50 per cylinder on April 1 and Rs 114.5 per cylinder on March 1. With these three increases, the total price of commercial LPG has increased by Rs 1303. However, there has been no change in the prices of domestic cooking gas cylinders. On March 7, the price of a 14.2 kg cylinder was increased by Rs 60. A domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi costs Rs 913. State-owned oil companies Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum review ATF and LPG prices on the first of every month based on international benchmarks and exchange rates. Global oil prices have shot up by about 50 percent due to disruptions in energy supply chains due to the West Asian war.

Taking a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party, the AAP leaders said that the central government only cares about the suffering faced by common Indians during elections and then leaves them to their fate. He said that it has been three months since the Iran war and the government should have prepared a concrete plan to save the common people instead of putting the financial burden on them, whereas it has further broken the backs of the people by increasing the price of cylinders drastically.

Manpreet Bunty, Kaka Machhiwara, Vipul Sethi, Rakesh Kumar, Raj Kumar Agarwal Member GST, Ravinder Pal Singh Pali, Davinder Verma, Ajinder Pal Kaur and hundreds of other colleagues were present in this protest.
