Punjab Police Forensic Probe Finds No Use of ‘Guru’ Word by Atishi; AAP Demands Apology from BJP and Congress

A sensational revelation has emerged in the case related to the alleged insult of Sikh Gurus. A forensic investigation conducted by the Punjab Police has clearly established that Delhi Assembly Leader of Opposition Atishi did not use the word “Guru” in her statement. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has strongly condemned the BJP and Congress for allegedly creating and circulating a fake video to defame Atishi and disrespect Sikh Gurus. The party has also demanded an apology from the top leadership of both parties.

AAP has demanded strict action against BJP and Congress leaders who shared the fake video. According to the party, the forensic findings prove that BJP and Congress deliberately dragged the name of Sikh Gurus into dirty politics and committed an act of sacrilege. AAP has demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi apologize to the Sikh community.

The Aam Aadmi Party has said that BJP and Congress must apologize to the Sikh community and the entire nation for insulting Sikh Gurus. The party stated that leaders of both parties have hurt the religious sentiments of the Sikh community, causing deep anguish. It has been conclusively proven through the Punjab Police forensic investigation that former Delhi Chief Minister and current Leader of Opposition Atishi did not utter the word “Guru” in the Assembly. BJP and Congress should immediately apologize for hurting religious sentiments.

AAP reiterated that it holds the Sikh Gurus in the highest respect and will never tolerate their insult. The party alleged that the BJP created a fake video by misusing the name of Guru Sahib to malign Atishi, and that BJP ministers and MLAs circulated it, thereby insulting Guru Sahib. Congress leaders, too, were not far behind in sharing the fake video. Due to these actions, there is widespread anger within the Sikh community. AAP has demanded that the top leadership of BJP and Congress apologize and take action against those who circulated the video.

AAP further alleged that BJP is attempting to defame Atishi by creating fake videos and deliberately disrupting the functioning of the Delhi Assembly. The people of Delhi understand the motive behind these actions. BJP, the party claimed, is avoiding discussions on critical issues such as pollution, law and order, and contaminated water, and is instead using religion as a cover to hide its failures. AAP demanded the immediate termination of BJP minister Kapil Mishra’s membership for circulating the fake video and called for the suspension of BJP MLAs involved for at least six months.

Meanwhile, the Punjab Police conducted a forensic examination of the video shared on Twitter by BJP minister Kapil Mishra. The investigation clearly confirmed that Atishi did not use the word “Guru” at all. An FIR has been registered at the Jalandhar Police Commissionerate regarding the uploading and circulation of the edited video. The FIR states that forensic analysis of the audio extracted from social media posts proves that Atishi did not pronounce the word “Guru.” The FIR was registered based on a complaint filed by Iqbal Singh. Several posts had gone viral on social media allegedly showing Atishi making derogatory remarks against Sikh Gurus in the Delhi Assembly, accompanied by provocative captions.
